What do you do and why do you do it?
I am a professional singer/pianist/songwriter and I’ve chosen to do this because it is my innermost strength and being expressing myself creatively through music as its outlet. It brings me a self-gratification that no other vocation could possibly compare to.
What inspires you or motivates you to succeed?
I’ve always been most inspired by my parents who were both professional musicians. A huge impact is attributed to the fact that my mother was the opening singer for Elvis Presley when he toured in 1956. I started singing simultaneously with the time I started to talk. Music was something I would take with me. I’d sing with whatever was on the radio. It always was that release for me!
What are your goals in the next 5 years?
I aspire to be headlining to a crowd of 50,000 or more!
What are some struggles you have encountered in the process and how did you overcome them?
I’ve encountered struggles which can be reflected in the insincerity of agents/producers in the music business. This led me to produce my own material and book my own shows. I became a stronger individual on account of this.
